Food manufacturing facility – site redevelopment & storm — St. Louis, MO
City of St. Louis · 2025
Project summary
A food manufacturing facility in the City of St. Louis was redeveloping part of its site. Kuesel cleared and saw-cut, then removed curb, sidewalk, stairs, concrete pavement, signs, bollards, light-pole bases, fencing, and an outdated storm sewer, riprap, bio-retention system, inlets and manholes.
Crews graded with import and built the building and pavement subgrade. New storm work included 80 LF of 12" and 18" PVC, a storm manhole, a 2-grate inlet and a hydrodynamic separator, under MSD permits.

Challenge → approach
The old storm system and bio-retention area no longer fit the site. Kuesel took them out with the rest of the surface features, then replaced water-quality treatment with a hydrodynamic separator to meet MSD requirements on a tighter footprint.
